Shuttle MN31N mATX nForce2 (8)
Overclocker 31 Mar 2003

Shuttle MN31N never disappoint us as its performance is on par with most of the other nForce2 products out there in the market. In fact, in most of the benchmarks, it is in the top except for CCWS and BWS because the chipset as in most nforce2 boards are not tuned for desktop performance but more tuned towards better performance in 3D applications. In fact, both nForce2 and the KT400A boards are weak in disk performance resulting in a slower performance in Content Creation and Business Applications.

Features-wise, this board has some pretty nice features including 6 Channel audio, USB 2.0, AGP 8x, Dual Channel DDR333 support, integrated GF4 MX video, Dual Monitor Support but no TV out. There is also a BIOS that provides basic oc features like FSB and RAM timings adjustments. There are no voltage and multiplier controls in the BIOS.

Overall, this board has the necessary stuff to make it a good choice for the SI.
