Continuing the success of the 7VAXP KT400 board, Gigabyte
launches The KT400A 7VAXP-A Ultra based on the VIA KT400A chipset.
Gigabyte 7VAXP-A Ultra is definitely one of the top "all-in-one" board that
would appeal to those who loves technology. With Promise 20276 chip, the
GA-7VAXP-A Ultra provides not only RAID 0(Striping) or RAID 1(Mirroring)
function, but also additional two UDMA ATA-133/100 connectors, which allows
users to connect total 8 ATAPI devices such as CD-ROM, CD/RW, DVD-ROM and
DVD-RAM. The GA-7VAXP-A Ultra comes with 6 USB 2.0 ports at high data transfer
rate up to 480Mbps, which is 40 times faster than the previous USB 1.1. With the
SiliconImage controller chip, you can hook up another two more SATA HD to the
system
In addition, the GA-7VAXP-A Ultra supports 3 IEEE1394 ports to
enhance PC connectivity for consumer electronics audio/video (A/V) appliances,
storage peripherals, other PCs, and portable devices. In addition to the usual
boot devices, also supports boot up from USB devices such as CD-ROM, DVD-ROM,
and ZIP drive. Interrupts can be assigned freely to each PCI device to meet
individual needs.
The Gigabyte 7VAXP-A supports DDR400 providing system bus up to 6.4GB/sec, which
is available with 3 DIMM slots supporting up to 3GB by DDR400+/333/266 memory
module. The ALC650 incorporates proprietary converter technology to achieve a
high SNR, greater than 90 dB. GA-7VAXP-A Ultra total support ALC650 AC’97 CODEC
provides multiple CODEC extensions with independent variable sampling rates and
built-in 3D effects.
Overclocking features include multiplier control via dip switch,
FSB can be adjusted to 250Mhz, DIMM, AGP, Vcore voltages are all adjustable
within BIOS. Other features that are available include Patented Dual BIOS™
technology, Easy Tune 4™, Q-Flash™ (Dual BIOS™ Utility), @BIOS™ and Face
Wizard™.
