The Test

The pair of modules are installed on the Gigabyte P35C-DS3R mainboard with a E6300 processor. The reason why we picked a E6300 is because of its superior overclockability to high FSB.

In the BIOS of the Gigabyte P35C-DS3R, we set the memory module to operate at 2.3v, just 0.1v added to it. Ram timings are not changed except that we chose to run the RAM in SYNC with the CPU FSB.

We overclock the CPU to 6x533MHz such that the memory can run at 533MHz (DDR2-1066). The system booted up fine and went straight into WinXP. We weren't that successful with our Corsair pair.

We ran the memory bandwidth tests and see these numbers. The memory benchmark in Sandra XI scored 8137MB/s. In terms of latency, we can see that it is 77ns. The CPU-Z 1.40 screen show that the CPU is indeed running at 533x6.
