Dual H.264 video stream
playback on
Biostar TH55XE Intel H55 ClarkDale Mainboard
Video playback In this test, we check out the performance on playing back MPEG4 AVC clips using PowerDVD 9. In a 2nd test, we check out if it is possible to playback two simultaneous streams using both PowerDVD 9 + Windows media player in Win 7 and check out how it affects the CPU utilisation levels. Video clip "The Bourne Ultimatum - Trailer" H.264 1080P clip Single Stream
The average CPU utilization is 10.736% with a min of 2.344% and a max of 29.688% Dual Stream
The average CPU utilization is 11.981% with a min of 2.344% and a max of 33.988% Looks like the processor is able to handle two streams pretty well. A similar configured AMD 785G with Phenom II X3 710 o/c to 3.33GHz managed to do a single stream at 14.67% and dual stream at 16.776% CPU which is higher than the Intel equivalent. * The above test is done on the ASRock H55M Pro.
