CPU Utilisation test during playback of HD DVD

Using the latest edition of PowerDVD 7.3 Deluxe, we ran two HDDVDs through the XBOX HDDDVD player. We noted down the CPU utilisation of two HD DVDs. The system is powered by a AM2 X2 4000+.

Playback of Bourne Supremacy gives an average CPU utilisation of 32% with 7050-630a decoding the VC-1 film.

In HD HDV benchmark disc, the CPU utilisation is average around 36%.

Both VC-1 titles are handled well by the on board chipset. We do notice that PowerDVD diagnostics recommends a higher speed CPU. X2 4000+ is bare mininum.
