Jetway I35P-SG Intel
P35/ICH9 Mainboard Review
- Conclusion
Conclusion
We waited for the arrival of his long promised board. It is finally here and we were impressed by the clean design of the mainboard. The features are also what you would get from an expensive brand. In terms of performance, this board runs slightly slower than the competitor's as the CLK speed is lower. On top of that, the board BIOS does not support DDR2-1066 mode. This is a disadvantage that hampers the performance. When in CrossFire mode, it runs in Dual PCIe x4 mode, results will not be as good as the Dual PCIe x16 native CrossFire mode. This board has amazing options for overclocking. Adjustments of the CPUCLK, ASync settings, ram timing adjustments, CPU, DIMM, SB, NB,FSB voltage adjustments (see gallery for options). In our tests, we are able to overclock the E6300 on air to 6 x 510MHz. That is quite an achievement for Jetway i would say. Most of the 2nd tier P35 manufacturers aren't able to overclock that high. The package seems a bit too simple. Perhaps Jetway want to cut down unnecessary cost. I think they should at least bundle in a USB bracket. In conclusion, Jetway IP35-SG has made a good overclocking board based on the P35 chipset. The BIOS could be made to support the DDR2-1066 through overclocking perhaps to make the system run faster. Overall, a commendable effort for making this board a good alternative oc boards out there. Pros
