Sandra XII Benchmarks of ECS A770M-A AMD 770 chipset mainboard Review
Bluetooth 27 Nov 2007

Benchmarks

We test out the system using Sandra XII benchmarks comparing the 790FX based DFI versus a AMD 770 based board from ECS. We used a X2 5000+ Black edition on both boards.

Sandra XII tests

From the chart, we tested the Arithmetic and multimedia performance of the CPU. As the speed on the two AMD boards are at 200.0MHz and 200.0MHz, we would expect some minor differences in scores.

If you notice, the memory benchmark scores are pretty high. Although the DDR2-1066 setting appears on both boards. Setting it to DDR2-1066 will result in no boot as X2 doesn't support DDR2-1066. In this test, both are set to DDR2-800.

We can see from the benchmark numbers, the ECS A770M-A is slightly slower by just a few percentage points. The difference is not that noticable.
