3Dmark05 and
3Dmark06 benchmark of
ECS A770M-A AMD 770 chipset mainboard Review Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006
Paired with a ASUS EAH2600XT, the graphics
performance test is performed in both single and crossfire mode. The same board
is also paired up with a 8600GTS and benchmarked. It is quite shocking to see the benchmark
difference between the two chipsets. The DFI leads the 770 chipset by almost 400
points in this test. I think DFI must have optimised the board's performance.
In 3DMark06, the result shows taht DFI LP UT
790FX-M2R again leads by almost 140 points in this test. I suspect it is because
we are running the DFI LP UT 790FX-M2R in DDR2-1066 while the ECS A770M-A is
running in DDR2-800 mode. In CrossFire mode, the score shoots up to 7704
which is higher than a single 8800GTS card (at 5526)
