Benchmarks PCmark2005

PCmark2005 tests a number of important items in today's computing world. File Compression, Encryption, Decryption, Audio Conversion, Web Page Rendering, WMV Video Compression, DivX Video Compression, Physics Calculation and 3D, Graphics Memory etc.

PCmark05 gives us an indication on how the system performs with effects from the bus system.

The boards are run using the integrated graphics core. As we can see from the chart below, the AMD 690G has an edge over its older RS485 chipset by approximately 7%. This could be due to the use of SB600 south bridge.

We used both drivers, 7.33 and 7.351 (Catalyst 7.3) and we noticed that the scores in PC Mark05 dropped. In fact, when we used 7.33, we noticed the lower score on this board compared to ther AMD 690G boards tested. Could it be a bug in the South bridge driver that caused this ?
