Universal abit IP35 Pro (Intel P35)
Mainboard Review -
Conclusion Conclusion Universal abit IP35 Pro proves itself to be one of the better desgined boards ou there. Supporting the newer Quad Cores and all the features you would find on most boards, IP35 Pro can be said to be an all rounder. This board has on board power on/off, reset button, that makes and debug led, this makes troubleshooting easier. Something I like is the EZ for CCMOS. You can now clear the CMOS without opening the casing. The board also comes with Dual full length PCIe slots which allows two graphisc cards to be used on board in CrossFire mode. There are also 6 SATA II ports which supports RAID 0/1/5/10, 2 eSATA by Jmicron MB363, 2 x IEEE 1394, 10 USB ports. PCI-E X16 (x4 bandwidth), 1 x PCI-E X1, The BIOS also comes with an amazing range of settings for overclockers. In fact, the ranges are in an insane range. Some of the voltages can go so high that it might just burn out the components on board. So, unless you are watercooling your board, you might need to consider small deltas of changes. For a complete range of options available in the BIOS, please see gallery. In terms of overclocking, the board is able to POST as high as 525 x 6 on a E6300. We were able to run it at 520 x 6 stable. Lowering it to 500MHz is better. Overall, Universal abit has maintained its quality in making overclockers' friendly boards.
