Introduction NVIDIA brings another surprise in this new year. Today, NVIDIA launches two new chipsets for the Intel platform which completes the spectrum of chipsets targetting the different segments of Intel discrete platform. We attended the presentation by Jean-Marc Ludwig, Product Line Manager, Intel core logic where he shares with us the new chipset. In April 05, NVIDIA launches its first core logic for the Intel platform. From its performance, it can be seen that it actually takes the Intel processor to another level with its SLI capability. Later, NVIDIA launched another chipset, NFORCE 4 SLI x16. This chipset enables Dual PCIe 16 lanes for maximum graphics performance with 4 7800GTX GPUs. Today, NVIDIA is taking another leap and targets the budget and mainstream users. The NForce4 SLI XE and the NFORCE 4 Ultra are the the two newest members of the NVIDIA NF4 Intel edition family that will probably change the mindset of many Intel users. The NFROCE4 SLI XE is targetting a performance mainstream with a below USD99 retail price while the MVIDIA NForce4 Ultra targets a under USD 89 market. Most importantly, these chipsets supports all series fo Intel Pendium D Dual Core CPUs including the 8xx, 840EE and 9xx and 955EE.
