ASUS P5B Deluxe
WiFi-AP Edition (i965P) Review Benchmarks 9/10
Benchmarks - RealStorm
This tool does realtime raytracing, a very
computational intensive application that does software rendering. Thus, it
requires high speed processors to do it. The author said "Of course
3D-Accelerators are getting faster too and evolve feature-wise, but beyond a
certain level of detail, a polygon has to be smaller than a pixel on the screen.
In this case, there is absolutely no reason to use polygon routines. So we
decided to use platonic solids combined with boolean algebra and raytracing. From the chart, we can see the P5B deluxe performs slightly better in the White test with a score of 1200 against 1196-1199 using other boards. While we don't see much difference in HouseG tests. HouseR tests shows a lead of 20 points against the other chipsets although it lost to P5W DH Deluxe. In the HouseV test, we also see a better score of 2904 against the other boards scoring 10 points lower. The P5W DH Deluxe did equally well. In the last test, RCMP, we can see that it has a lead of 20 points against the other boards. Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 and ASUS P5W DH Deluxe scored similarly, this is probably because we run this three boards in ASYNC CAS 5, 5-5-15, 2T, DDR-800 while the others are running in SYNC DDR-533 CAS 3.3-3-8,1T.
