ULi M1695 FX-57 oc to 400 x 7 aircooled 1/2
Introduction Last month we took a look at the ULi M1695 chipset. If you have seen the review, you would say overclocking it up to 300FSB is not really that difficult on the NF4 chipset. In this article, we tested the ULi M1695 ref board with a newer BIOS that opens up the HTT window up to 400MHz. We first tested our 4800+ processor which we used. Under air cool conditions using the Gigabyte Rocket3D cooler, we manage to get it stable at 330 x 6. This is done because we wanted to see how far we can push the HTT. The graphics card used is a 6600GT PCI-E. HTT is set to 600MHz (3x) and ram is running ASync DDR266 CAS 2.5,8-4-4 just to ensure that ram is not holding back the overclocking test by underclocking it. Voltages are default. Our final stable o/c of the 4800+ is 330 x 6. 3DMark2003, 2005 was run to test for stability. There were no issues at all. CPU Frq = 330MHz On the next page, a FX-57 is overclocked to 400 x 7. Check it out. |
