Gigabyte i-RAM Review 5/7
Benchmarks In our test, we installed the card onto a 945P system running 1G Corsair DDR2-533 modules. CPU used is a Intel 820D Dual Core with a 6600GT graphics card. HDD used is Hitachi 80G SATAII and Seagate 7200.7 SATA I(NCQ) HDD. WINXP is installed on Seagate HDD while the comparison is done for the SATA II hitachi against the i-RAM using Sisoft sandra 2005 lite file benchmarks, HDtach and PCmark2004, 2005 Below are the results. PCmark2004 As we can see, the benchmarks of PCMark2004 is amazing. 60982 vs 4952 on a SATA II HDD. That is 12.3x faster than the HDD. The same applies to the most of the tests. File copy performance is good but it is probably bottlenecked by the SATA I interface.
