ECS PF88 SiS 656
Mainboard and SIMA A9S SiS 756 upgrade card Review 2a/7
Benchmarks Before you read on, it is important to understand that the benchmarks taken will be affected if the FSB it is running at is lower or higher than the board in comparison. Using CPU-Z, we measured the default CLK and it defaults to 200.00. As we are using the Corsair TWINX pair, it is defaulted to CAS 2, 5-2-2. We have to run it at 800HTT instead of 1GHz HTT. The following readings are obtained using CPU-Z.
We tested the memory benchmarks using SiSoft Memory Benchmark 2004 and was surprised by the score of 4962/4692 versus the 5900 or 6000 scored by most of the tested boards. As the memory controller is within the CPU itself. One possibility is that the longer trace length and two is the BIOS is forcing the ram to run at DDR333 speeds. We also noticed that we are unable to run it at 1GHz HTT.
