The ECS KA1-MVP is
based on the ATI RD480 NB + ATi SB450. It supports Dual Channel DDR memory
architecture with up to 4 GB DDR400. The board comes standard with
2x PCI Express x16 slot, 2x
PCI Express x1 slot, 2x PCI slots.
It also uses Top Hat flash technology for BIOS recovery.
The board supports can
hook up to 4 IDE devices + 6 SATA HDDs. Supported by the SB450 are 4
ATA133/100/66 IDE and 4 SATA I RAID 0/1 ports.
An additional 2 SATA II ports are supported using the SiliconImage SIl3132
controller.
In terms of Audio, the SB450 supports Azalia HD audio. It
uses the Realtek ALC880 8-channel audio CODEC.
1394a is optional (by VIA VT6307). There are two LAN ports supported. A PCIe
based Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit LAN controller and a
Realtek RTL8100C 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Controller.
On top of that, the BIOS offers quite a large range of voltage adjustments
for those who love to tweak.
There is a also a fan duct which can be installed onto the
mainboard to cool down the mosfets area.
