KA1-MVP Extreme ATi CrossFire (RD480) Board Intro 2/6
Gallery The board comes with 2 PCI, 2 PCIe x 16, 2 PCIe x1 Slot. To run the board in single PCIe x16 mode, a SHUNT Card must be inserted in the blue slot. If crossfire mode is to be used, the CrossFire edition card should be inserted into the orange slot with output connected. The BIOS would also need to be adjusted to make both slots operate in PCie 8x mode. Towards the centre, we see the power AUX power 4 pin connector. The MOSFETs on the top right hand corner of the board is cooled by a fan duct (green). Behind the PCI slots is the Realtek ALC880 audio codec and, a Realtek PCI Fast Ethernet and a Marvell GbE PHY. Next to the orangle slot is the VIA 1394A controller. Furtherdown, we see 4 SATAII + 2 IDE channel supported by ATi SB450 chipset. Two other SATA II ports are supported by SiliconImage Sil 3132 chipset. All ports are SATA II + NCQ enabled. The DDR ram slots support DDR400/333/266/200. Up to 4GB of DDR400 can be supported.
