Benchmarking

Before we benchmark, we document the FSB the board is running at. The two boards defaults to different FSB. This can result in skewed results. The FSB of the boards tested are indicated in the chart below :

As the DFI 865PE is a dual channel board, there is no doubt that it yields a better result in this bandwidth test. How would the ATi based board with a dual channel architecture compare to the one offered by 865PE ?

Two set of scres 3950/3947 (with R9700Pro card) and 3723/3729 (integrated video). It is quite surprising. In fact, we find that dual channel on the ATi RS300 seems to be gobble up by the on board integrated video resulting in a lower bandwidth.
