Gigabyte 技嘉 K8NNXP nForce3 150 Mainboard Review (4)
Bluetooth 12 Sept 2003

Benchmarking

We check out the results for ZD Benchmarks using CC Winstone 2002 and Business Winstone 2001 in this section of the benchmark tests.

On The K7 series of boards, SiS boards always seem to have better throughput when it comes to disk access and this resulted in better overall performance in CCWS and BWS.

We compared the Gigabyte to the ALi ref board running both 2900+ and a 3200+. The results are quite consistent. The NF3 150 seems to be slower in terms of disk access resulting in a lower score on the CCWS 2002 test. 50.8 vs 51.3 (3200+) and 47.2 vs 49.4 (2900+). The interesting fact is that almost all the K7/K8 boards are better in this category and is largely dependent on the IDE performance.

On Business Winstone 2001, the Gigabyte K8NNXP lost to ALi M1687. In fact, the SiS 748 boards equipped with a AMD AXP3200+ performs better in this test. The P4 3.0G performs the worst among all.
