Benchmarking

Before we benchmark, we document the FSB the board is running at.

Do bear that in mind when comparing results of the boards as a higher FSB usually will impact the benchmarks in one way or another. ECS PF1 is set at 199.55MHz which is 0.45MHz lower than the rated 200MHz.

In our test, we run the 3.0 Ghz (P4 800MHZ) processor at 200Mhz FSB and with 2x256M Corsair DDR333 module at DDR400, CAS 2, 5-2-2 on the Springdale/Canterwood boards. For stability, we set the voltage to 2.7v for the DDR. On the ASRock P4i45PE (i845PE) & ABIT BH7 (i845PE), we ran it using a single stick of 512M Corsair XMS3500C2 at CAS 2, 5-2-2. PAT is enabled by default on all Canterwood boards.

From the charts, we can see that the following right behind ASUS and ABIT is ECS PF1. In fact, we were quite surprised that this board is tuned so considering the PF1 is running at 199.95MHz. Sisoft sandra scores 4743/4750. Looks like most Springdales should be able to at least reach this standard.
