DFI 748-AL SiS 748 Mainboard Review (4)
Benchmarking We check out the results for ZD Benchmarks using CC Winstone 2002 and Business Winstone 2001 in this section of the benchmark tests. SiS boards always seem to have better throughput when it comes to disk access and this resulted in better overall performance in CCWS and BWS. Both the nForce2 boards perform almost the same. It is already a known fact the 2.03 nVIDIA drivers IDE performance levels are slower compared to the SiS counterparts. In this category, we see that the nForce2 are generally slower by around 6% behind the SiS 748 platforms. It is interesting to see from here that the VIA 8237 on the Gigabyte is not as fast as the SIS 748 boards. On Business Winstone 2001, the difference is much higher by 9%. Again the DFI NF2 Ultra, Gigabyte 7NNXP and EPoX 8RDA3+ scores very close to each other by a 0.1 point difference. The SiS 748 boards again reign over all other chipset boards. Next |
