Benchmarking We check out the results for ZD Benchmarks using CC Winstone 2002 and Business Winstone 2001 in this section of the benchmark tests. On The K7 series of boards, SiS boards always seem to have better throughput when it comes to disk access and this resulted in better overall performance in CCWS and BWS. Will the long time champion ALi scores a high in this category as it has one of the best IDE performance during the XP333 days ? Lets take a look. Just as what we have expected, the results are pretty good at 49.4. Considering that the CPU is rated for 3100+ and running it on 32 bits applications. The comparison is not really a fair comparison but it gives us an indication what sort of performance levels we would get.
On Business Winstone 2001, The M1687 Ref board does not seem to perform too well. In fact, it even lost to the SiS 748 series of boards which were paired up with AXP3200+ 32 bits CPU. Well, come to think of it, business applications might not even need 64bits for most of your processing needs right now.
