Benchmarking

We conduct the a number of tests on the setup with the following configuration :

Test System:

AMD XP2400+
ABIT KD7-RAID DDR333 Async mode CAS 2, 2-2-5
Corsair 512MB XMS3200 DDR400 module
SiS Xabre 600
Chaintech GF4 MX440 64MB with Detonator 40.41
Maxtor D740X-6L ATA133 7200RPM
AOPEN 40X CDROM
Channelwell 375W AMD Approved PSU

Comanche 4 1024x768x32

This is a new benchmark that we adopt in our test of graphics card. Comanche 4 is a demanding application and is excellent for testing D3D. Well in this category, we see that there is quite a difference from the usual. The GF4 MX440 seems to be outperforming the Xabre 600 by quite a bit. This could be due to the fact that this application is more demanding on Processor and we know that Xabre600 depends on both GPU and CPU for vertex shading.
