Benchmarking

We conduct the usual tests on the setup with the following configuration :

Test System:

AMD AthlonXP 1500+ and Thermoengine heatsink/fan
IBM 15G 7200RPM ATA100 HD
AOPEN 40X CDROM
MSI Geforce3 Ti200 Graphics card
Nanya DDR333 256MB DDR
Channelwell 375W AMD Approved PSU

WCPUID reveals 133.64Mhz FSB. The system is set to perform at it's maximum speed as indicated in the BIOS (see picture of Gallery p2).

Summary

Based on the AthlonXP1500+

Looks like the Content Creation results are quite consistent on the SiS745 which is higher than those of SiS735 (Leadtek 7350KDA and ECS K7S5A). In fact Looking at the Business Disk Winmark results, the other boards that uses an ATA-133 interface is definitely better off with the Maxtor ATA133 HD. but the SiS745 ref board which we paired up with an ATA-100 HD scores well in the Business Disk Winmark : 8680 if we compare to all the boards we have tested so far which uses ATA-100 interface + HD.
