The BIOS

Prefetch Caching is Enabled. AGP aperture size set to 128MB. AGP fast write and sideband is also enabled in our tests.

Similar to AS45GTR, the SS50 has similar options available within the BIOS. Under Advanced DRAM control1, we set System Performance to Ultra Mode, CAS to 2T and DRAM Cmd rate to 1T. These are the fastest and most aggressive timings.

One of the nice features of the mainboard is that it comes with CPU FAN AutoGuardian. When it is enabled, it will speed up the fan if the heat inside it is too warm. In our test, it never rise above the default 72 Deg at all.

Over here, we set the multiplier, in our case 15X for P4 1.5G, we disabled auto detect and spread spectrum. CPU:DRAM we set it to 3:4 instead of 3:5 in the picture below for async DDR266. DDR333 works but is unofficially supported by the 645 chipset.
