Benchmarking

We conduct the usual tests on the setup with the following configuration :

Test System:

  • AMD AthlonXP 1500+ and Thermoengine heatsink/fan
  • Maxtor 40G ATA133 HD
  • AOPEN 40X CDROM 
  • MSI Geforce3 Ti200 Graphics card
  • Nanya DDR333 256MB DDR 
  • Channelwell 375W AMD Approved PSU

Summary

AthlonXP1500+

We benchmark the board using a MSI Geforce3 Ti200 graphics card with the detonator 21.83 drivers. At DDR333 (133/166), it scores 6486.  At DDR266 (133/133), the score is 6453. The difference is only 2.5% which is not a lot. In fact, MSI seems to have optimised in it's 3D performance then on content based applications. The results are on par with the Gigabyte 7VRXP. The DDR333 score of 6486 is definitely better as it is run at 1Tcmd compared to 2T on 7VRXP.
