Benchmarking

We conduct the usual tests on the setup with the following configuration :

Test System:

  • AMD AthlonXP 1500+ and Thermoengine heatsink/fan
  • Maxtor 40G ATA133 HD
  • AOPEN 40X CDROM 
  • MSI Geforce3 Ti200 Graphics card
  • Nanya DDR333 256MB DDR 
  • Channelwell 375W AMD Approved PSU

Summary

AthlonXP1500+

The MSI KT3 Ultra BIOS allows us to run steadily at CAS2 1T Ultra even in ASYNC DDR333 mode. As you can see the memory score differences of running Async at 166mhz (333) as compared to running at sync 266. 6% gain in ALU and 7.6% gain on FPU memory performance. The Gigabyte 7VRXP, we were unable to run steadily at DDR333 mode unless we set it to 2T cmd.
