The following tests are run at least 3 times to obtain a sustain score. MSI 845E Max2 is set to run at the best timings of CAS 2, DDR266, 2-2-5.

1) Best timings at CAS 2, 1T, DDR333, 2-2-2-4 RAM timings to reach the best speed. (async timing)
2) Turbo timings at CAS 2.5, 2T, DDR266, 3-3-3-6 RAM timings. (sync timing)

All above setup are set to operate with an AGP aperture size of 128MB so that consistent results can be used for comparison purposes.

Benchmark Tests Run

DroneZ

Another famous game used as a benchmarking tool for PC gamers. In the tests, resolution is set to 640x480, vertical sync if set OFF. In this test, we noticed that when the ASUS P4S533 is running at DDR266 "normal" timings, it is no match to the i850E. The i845E board seems to perform average but it is slightly faster by around 10fps when compared to P4s533 running at normal timings.
