Intel 845PE/GE, SiS 648 Mainboards 1st RoundUp
(5)
Business Winstone 2001 Business Winstone is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98 SE, Windows NT 4.0 (SP6 or later), Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business Winstone doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities to produce its performance scores. The CD-ROM that contains Business Winstone includes all the files and application portions you need to run the benchmark. Looks like the SIS 648 board has much superior performance in this category, could this be due to the faster disk performance ? It could be as we can see from previous benchmarks that the SiS 648 seems to be extremely fast in disk performance. The results shows that both chipsets are pretty good performers considering it's still running at ATA100 versus ATA133 on the SiS 648. The Shuttle SB51G is average among the 6 boards. |
