Gigabyte 8IXEP i845E
Review (5)
Business Winstone 2001 Business Winstone is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98 SE, Windows NT 4.0 (SP6 or later), Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business Winstone doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities to produce its performance scores. The CD-ROM that contains Business Winstone includes all the files and application portions you need to run the benchmark. Gigabyte 8IEXP comes close to the fastest 71.1. Again it overtook the ASUS P4B533-E and DFI NB73-EA. The EPoX 4G4A running in DDR333 mode yields the best record among all (if we disregard the "oc" 845Emax2). In fact, we were quite surprised that ASUS P4B533-E, DFI NB73-EA and Gigabyte 8IEXP all lost to the Intel original board Intel D845DGBV. I think they need more tuning in future BIOS revisions for higher performance at default 133.33 Mhz. |
