Gigabyte 7VRXP (2)
Benchmarking We conduct the usual tests on the setup with the following configuration : Test System:
Using the 1st official BIOS which is available for download from the Gigabyte website, we tested the board in both DDR266 and DDR333 Async (CPU=133Mhz, MEM=166Mhz) mode. We took the readings off WCPUID and noticed that at both modes, the WCPUID reveals 133.90Mhz FSB. Updated 25 Apr 2002 with latest BIOS F6e With the new bios F6e, the performance of 7VRXP is stable at 1T cmd running at Async DDR333 mode. Previously the system was unstable at that mode. WCPUID Screen Shot ZD Winbench99 and CC Winstone 2000 scores Summary Based on the AthlonXP1500+ The table is a comparison of the results based on both 133/133 (DDR266) and 133/166 (DDR333) setting. A score of 50.2/49.7 is really impressive if compared to the other boards. The surprise came as when operating 7VRXP at DDR333, the CC Winstone2000 results dropped from 50.2 to 49.7. This is probably because we are unable to run DDR333 at 1T command. The score of 50.2 shows that KT333 does have an improvement over 7VTXH+ and faster than all the boards charted below. Disk benchmarks scores similarly to those of GA-7VTHX+. The test was done on a Maxtor ATA133 HD 7200RPM.
