AOPEN AX4R Plus Granite Bay Dual Channel DDR Board Review (5)
Bluetooth 11 Dec 2002

Benchmarking

We checked out Q3 running Demo001 at 800x600x32 Hi Quality. We obtained a high score of 327.3fps. This is indeed a big leap in performance compared to the desktop chipsets which are up to 10 fps slower than this board. The AOPEN AX4R plus still falls short of 2fps when compared to Gigabyte's solution.

Using 3DMark2001SE build 330, we see a difference in the scores of the 3 Granite bay boards. If you have read my Gigabyte review, I already mentioned that there is a possibility that Gigabyte might have enabled hidden option for DDR333 support. If you look at the 3Dmark2001SE scores, you would have notice the difference is by almost a 100 points.

In this category, the AOPEN AX4R+ does perform very well, overtaking RIMM4200 board and other desktop chipsets in the graphic performance test.
