Background
Super Talent
is probably new to some of you. It is a company that specialises with memory
modules based in Silicon Valley. Super Talent has so far 100 patents on DRAM and
Flash module design and manufacturing processes, making Super Talent one of the
world's chief patent holders in memory device categories. Super Talent is an
active member of JEDEC, the association that defines future memory standards.
The company is a technical leader in producing industry standard memory modules
as well as in developing custom memory solutions.
Although they are a new kid on the block, they have formed strategic partners
with a number of industry leaders to validate their modules. They include ASUS,
AMD, Intel, JEDEC, SAMSUNG, SuperMICRO, Tyan etc.
In this article, we will test out their latest T1000UX2G5 DDR2 Dual Channel
Kit.This is a pair of 1GB modules certified to run up to DDR2-1000 at CAS 5,
5-5-15, 2T.
In our test, we put the two modules on the
Gigabyte P35C-DS3R mainboard to
test out how far and how stable the modules can go.
In the next few pages, we will have photos and
screen shots of the test.
