At CommunicAsia 2007, LG will display strikingly
unique mobile phones with distinctive designs and revolutionary technical
features.
LG’s booth will feature its sleek handset, the Shine phone, with its real metal
exterior and mirrored style. The second handset in LG’s premium Black Label
series, LG Shine has already sold over 1.5 million units globally. As the
follow-up to LG’s Chocolate phone, it has received a great deal of attention in
the media and from consumers in the Asian market since its launch in early May.
LG will also showcase another work of art, PRADA Phone by LG. The result of LG’s
collaborative work with fashion house PRADA, PRADA Phone by LG was successfully
launched this year not only in European countries, such as U.K. France, Germany,
Italy, but also in Asian countries including Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
PRADA Phone by LG is the world’s first full touchscreen mobile phone.
In addition to prestigious handsets, LG will exhibit phones with cutting-edge
features including its KS10 smart phone and the winner of GSM Association’s “3G
for All” campaign, the KU250. Introducing the KU250, a perfect 3G phone, at
reasonable price allows LG to provide more users the chance to experience 3G
service in Asia and Middle East and Africa region, one of the fastest growing 3G
areas. KU250 will be launched in the countries of this region from June through
the third quarter of this year.
LG also demonstrate DVB-H technology through its
mobile TV phone, the KU950. DVB-H service is currently under trials in a number
of Asian countries. LG is fully prepared to take the lead in the global mobile
broadcasting market for DVB-H, MediaFLO and DMB.
