The reference board looks slightly bigger than most conventional board. On the left is the golden finger which is used for diagnostics purposes. Further to the right is 2 PCI, 1 AMR, 2 PCIe x 1 and 1 x PCIe x16 slot. At the centre, we can see the SiS 771 north bridge. On its right is the power connectors. Behind the AMR slot is the SiS 196 GbE PHY chip spporting Gigabit Ethernet via the South bridge SIS 966. Audio codec Realtek ALC883 is also found near the power connector and rear panel.

At the bottom left, you will see the 4 SATA I ports and 2 IDE channel supported by the SIS 966 south bridge. In the BIOS, the chipset can be configured to run them as AHCI or RAID and in various combinations. On the right are 4 DDR2-800 slots supporting up to 4 pcs of DDR2-533/667/800 modules.

The back panel consists of PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse, 1VGA, 2 Coaxial, 2 USB, 7.1 chn audio ports
