Shuttle AK31 ver 3.1 (1) We reviewed the Shuttle AK31 v2.0 sometime ago and was impressed by its performance. In fact, out of so many KT266 boards we tested, Shuttle AK31 v2.0 has shown a difference from its competitors by providing a low cost high performance solution and most importantly, it came with all the overclocking features users were longing to see. With the launch of KT266A as an alternative to the widely popular SiS735 chipset. Shuttle introduces version 3.1 of the Shuttle AK31 mainboard. Shuttle AK31 v3.1 looks identical to its predecessor v2.0 which was also selling like hot cakes in this region. It is not difficult to identify the package. Finished in a silver packing, you should be able to identify it in the stores. Hey, it also our award logo on it!! :) The package comes with a manual, the supporting CDROM, 2 USB port extension and FDD, HDD cables. The revision number can be seen at one corner of the PCB. It is labelled as AK31V3.1. I was told by Shuttle representative that this board performs very well. Well, let's take a look at the specifications on the next page before we proceed on with the details on the board and benchmarking of the system.
