Review Conclusion of Samsung Corby TXT GT-B3210OCWorkbench 9 Jan 2010
Conclusion
My first impression of the Corby TXT is that it is a low end phone. After using it for sometime, I discover that it is a very usable phone, especially in the texting department. It is definitely better than those virtual keyboard on the iphone clones. Compared to the Blackberry 8520 we reviewed before, the Corby TXT lacks push mail and customised applications for twitter and facebook whereby you can easily attach images and get alerts where there are updates. In terms of design, I like the colour scheme, the black/yellow contrast is excellent. It would really be better if it could support WiFi and HSDPA. Unfortunately, this phone lacks both and you are only left with one choice, hefty data charges unless you pay a premium for a data plan. If you were to use it just for plain voice and SMS, then this phone is definitely more than sufficient. If you are on the go and twit and facebook, I am not sure if you would want to subscribe a more expensive voice+data plan just for this phone as you will only be using it at a slower speed, way slower than 3G. In terms of multimedia, the 2 megapixel camera surprised me
with the image quality, it is pretty good as you can check them on page 4
(unedited nor resized). The music player is also loud and clear. You can also
configure the SMS ring tone. I like FM radio recording feature.
