The Biostar TH55XE mainboard comes with 2 PCI, 1 PCIe x4 and 1 PCIe x16 slot. At the back of the slots, we can see the audio codec, GbE chipset. On its left are the connectors for external 1394, USB brackets. To the right is the 7 phase power circuitry. We can see that the mosfets are covered by gold colored heatsinks. Right below is the Socket 1156 for the processor.

Below it is the 4 DIMM slots that works in dual channel configuration. it supports up to 16GB of memory. To the left is the Intel H55 chipset and we see 5 SATA 3.0Gbps ports next to it. There is also a IDE channel in yellow right above the Power connector.

On the back panel are the PS/2 Keyboard, 5 USB 2.0 ports (4 + 1 Power shared USB/eSATA), 1 1394, 1 GbE, 1 DVI-D, 1 D-SUB, 8 ch audio ports
