Sony launches VAIO L Series All in one Touch screen PC

The ideal 24-inch all-in-one PC, Sony’s new VAIO L Series features multi-touch optical sensor display, Full HD resolution, and Blu-ray capabilities, all within a slim stylish profile

Sony Singapore today unveiled the new VAIO L Series – the ideal 24-inch all-in-one PC, bringing together intuitive touch panel operation and broad access to Full HD entertainment. With its high performance features such as Full HD 1920 x 1080 display, Blu-ray Drive, and exclusive VAIO Media Gallery software, the VAIO is capable of satisfying individual needs and becoming the centerpiece of every family.

VAIO L Series is the first VAIO to be equipped with a multi-touch optical sensor display, making common computing tasks more fun and intuitive. One push of the VAIO button on the wireless keyboard activates VAIO’s original Media Gallery software, which provides easy access to music, photo, and video libraries.

Providing more opportunities for families to share special moments, the Media Gallery allows users to easily create movies and enjoy photos, videos, and music by flipping through, zooming in and rotating images, all with a few simple touches.

Keeping in touch with family and friends is also made easier with the WebCam Message Board. Providing a simple and fun way of communicating, this feature allows users to take photos with the built-in camera, and customise them with personalised hand-written messages that can be posted onto the screen or sent off as email. Best of all, these unique VAIO features work seamlessly with the new Windows® 7 OS which also supports touch panel operation for drag-and-drop transfers as well as special touch-compatible Windows® 7 software.

On top of YouTube videos and personal DVD collections, users can enjoy watching the latest Blu-ray Discs™ on the new VAIO L Series with the built-in Blu-ray drive. Enhancing the high definition viewing experience, the VAIO L Series also boasts a large 24-inch, Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel display (VAIO Display Plus) to provide clear crisp true-to-life picture reproduction.

Harmonising with the high definition visuals, the VAIO L Series delivers a premium audio experience to maximise enjoyment of movies, videos, games and music. Integrated with 5.5W + 5.5W speakers and S Master Digital Amplifier technology, the VAIO offers a rich and detailed soundstage without the unsightly clutter of additional cables.

A beautiful match for any living space, VAIO L Series delivers all the power of a premium entertainment PC in a slim, stylish all-in-one design. Requiring only 19 cm of depth on a regular desk, the VAIO saves users more workspace as its wireless keyboard can be stored neatly under the display when not in use. With its Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E7500 and 4 GB pre-installed memory (upgradeable to 12 GB), the VAIO L Series is built to perform. Featuring the new Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS and the latest NVIDIA® GeForce® G210M graphics accelerator, the VAIO enhances picture performance for games and videos.

The new touch screen all-in-one VAIO L will be available in Singapore from end October 2009.
