Review conclusion of Samsung Pixon12 GT-M8910 12 megapixel camera phone OCWorkbench 18 Oct 2009
Conclusion After using it for the 2 days, I would give it a thumbs up for this camera phone. You have seen the images we posted (scaled down to 640x480). Not only does it perform well as a mobile phone, it is also an amazing camera. In fact, I was quite stunned by the fact that a mobile phone already exceeded my digital camera, a 7.1 megapixel. In fact, I particularly like the wide angle lens and Xenon Flash + Power LED, it enables me to take the photo of the hello kitty in 80% darkness without light. The smart auto also helps a lot especially people like me who is not a photographer. Together with the help of AF tracking, one can simply point and shoot. It is a no brainer to be a good photographer. As for video modes, Samsung should consider upgrading the phone to record videos at 720P as 720x480 is simply too low for camera these days. Camera aside, Although it is powered by it's own OS, it does seem that it works in a snap compared to the Windows mobile devices I have tested before. The applications and widgets also allows the phone to add more features online. With the high speed HSPA+ plans available from telcos, connecting to popular social networking tools is easier with the touch screen interface. In conclusion, this phone is worth taking a look if you wish to have that many megapixels on a mobile phone. To me, it is an enhancement over the Samsung Jet. As it is based on a proprietary OS. Samsung will also add useful widgets to add on to your list of application that are already preinstalled in the phone. |
