Conclusion

After using it for the past week, I would say that the Omnia II does let me relook at the Windows mobile 6.1. As we all WM6.1 is sluggish and a hog. Worse of all, it eats up resources and slows down. Although the Samsung Omnia II cannot escape from the bloated OS. It compensates that with a TouchWiz 2.0 shell. This shell actually makes it more intuitive to use.

I particularly like the large 3.7" AMOLED screen. This is exceptionally useful for watching divx movies on the go. In fact, if you are a Starhub subscriber, you can download a widget which allows you to watch cable tv channels on the go.

So far, I find the responsiveness on the Omnia II to be pretty good. Just take note that when power is running down, the phone becomes a bit unresponsive to my commands. Compared to the upcoming Android phone, I think Windows mobile 6.1 is aging and can't run as fast as the i7500.
