Futuremark 3DMark06 and
3Dmark Vantage benchmarks of Biostar TA785GE
128M AMD 785G+SB710 Mainboard Benchmarks - 3Dmark2006/3DMark Vantage
In 3DMark06 test, the board is tested in default mode 500/533
(core/sideport) and 980/533. As the sideport memory is DDR2, it can't go higher
than what DDR3 does. The sideport thus runs at DDR2-1066. At default, 3Dmark06 result is 1756 which is in line with
what we get from the Gigabyte AMD 785G DDR2 board. When the core is increased to
980MHz, the results shot up to 2474 marks. The ASRock M3A785GMH/128 scored 2465
in this test compared to the Gigabyte @ 1GHz with a score of 2496. A DDR3
variant would give us a 100 points more. In 3DMark Vantage, the board scored E2330, it is similar to
the ASRock DDR2 board which scored E2326. They ar both around 30 points
behind a DDR3 equivalent. With GPU o/c to 980MHz, the Biostar TA785GE 128M
scored E3603. The ASRock with GPU o/c to 900MHz scored E3497 while the Gigabyte
DDR2 board scored E3666. Looks like GPU @ 1GHz gives a substantial boost in this
test (provided it works).
