In August 2009, Intel will officially announce it's Intel P55 chipset. This chipset supports the new LGA 1156 Socket type processors. Ironically, the LGA1156 processors also comes in the form of Core i7 and Core i5.

ASRock will introduce the ASRock P55 Deluxe mainboard soon. It comes in a ATX form factor and has a all solid capacitor design with solid caps using a v16 power phase design. It supports Intel® Socket 1156 Core™ i7 / Core™ i5  Processors support Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, Hyper-Threading Technology, Untied Overclocking Technology and EM64T CPU.

It will be based on Intel P55 chipset and supports dual channel DDR3 memory. A total of 4 DIMM slots supporting up to a total of 16GB of DDR3-2000 (OC). XMP is supported.

For graphics expansion, the board comes with 3 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (blue @ x16 mode, orange @ x8 mode, orange @ x4 mode) and 1 x PCI Express x1 slot. It also has 3 x PCI slots. The PCI Express slots support ATi CrossFireX, 3 Way CrossFire X, NVIDIA SLI and 3 way SLI.

The audio used is a Realtek ALC890 with DTS support. 2 x GbE LAN for dual LAN teaming. The board is also EuP ready, that is standby power must comply with European standards of 1W at standby.

For peripherals connection, there are USB, 1394 and eSATA. The traditional ASRock features Unique Feature - ASRock OC Tuner - Intelligent Energy Saver, Instant Boot, ASRock Instant Flash, Hybrid Booster, CPU Frequency Stepless Control, ASRock U-COP, Boot Failure Guard (B.F.G.) are supported on this board.
