Conclusion

Samsung SGH-U700 is really a techno gadget that tech geeks love. The small form factor and its 12.9mm makes it an outstanding phone from the pack.

Features wise, this phone supports the latest HSDPA at 3.6mbps downlink speed. If you are subscribed to HSDPA plans e.g. M1 broadband, Starhub Maxmobile or Singtel Mobile broadband, you will be able to use the phone as a wireless modem with speedy connection of up to 3.6Mbps.

Although we like the design, the colour and reflective surface isn't to my liking, I still prefer true black businessman looks. Well, perhaps for the ladies they could use it as a mirror, but do girls really go for tech gadget ? Maybe they do ? Perhaps such design would go well for mid range models? The touch censor also seems to be over sensitive sometimes.

In terms of applications, the built in RSS reader is an excellent software that I used everyday to get updated with the latest news. The preinstalled Google Mail and Google Search is another plus. Well, to add on, you can always download the J2me applications using the web browser or you can install opera.

Overall, the phone is a gem, it takes good pictures and surfs the net at blazing speeds. If you are going for HSDPA for mobile computing, this is definitely a good phone to consider.
