Conclusion
In fact, in our previous tests of DDR2 modules, running it at higher latency in ASync mode isn't as good as running the module in SYNC and at low latency modes. To take advantage of low latency modules, it might be better to run your CPU in Sync with your ram module , say at 400MHz HTT or 400MHz FSB.
The only drawback with this set of modules is that the SPD timing is still at CAS 5, 5-5-5-15,2T. That is probably for compatibility with boards that does not have a dimm voltage of 2.35v. If I didn't check, i would have thought the SPD is rating it at CAS 3-3-3-10, 2T. So, if you intend to run it at CAS3, you still have to set it manually in the BIOS setup screen.
Overall, the modules did give a good boost in performance compared to the conventional DDR2-800 C5 modules. This is definitely a set of modules that works well at the rated speed.
