Benchmarks - 3DMark2005/2006

When it comes to 3Dmark05 test, the Jetway M28GT3-PHG is no match even for its own brother the M2A692-GDG. 884 versus 1048. Well, if you look at the EPoX which uses a beta driver, it scored only 812. The official driver boosted it by almost 70 points to 884 for this chipset.

Will it be able to match the AMD 690G with that 200 points difference. Perhaps.

In 3Dmark06, the ECS AMD690GM-M2 scored 307 marks. That is comparable to the ALiveNF4G-DVI board based on NF6100+410. The EPoX AT690 pro scored 311, slightly higher by 4 points.

Comparing the ECS RS485M-M of 168 points versus 311 points obtained using the EPoX board, we see a jump of ~85%. Our Gigbayte GA-MA69G-S3H scored 313 using Catalyst 7.4. That is just a few points higher than the other AMD 690G boards.

The system driver 14.10 we used comes with a display driver. With it, we can see that the a boost of over 30 points over the beta driver used on the EPoX EP-AP68P/G. With the score of 330 points, JETWAY M28GT3-PHG took the crown for integrated chipset in this category.

The results shows that integrated graphics are not really meant for 3D demanding games. In fact, in the next few pages, we will skip all tests of 3D games using the integrated graphics as all of them will not gartner even 5 fps in games like Riddick, DOOM3 etc with "high settings" in game
