Jetway M28GT3-PHG GeForce 7050-630A mainboard review - Conclusion
Bluetooth 22 May 2007

Conclusion

Jetway M28GT3 is the first HDMI based mATX mainboard we reviewed here. As you have seen in the review, the performance of this board is pretty good. Considering the features within the BIOS and options available for connectivity, this mATX board's feature is comparable to some of the larger ATX boards out there.

With HDMI connector, one can easily set up this board for as a HTPC by hooking it up with the XBOX360  HD DVD drive (HDCP supported on board). The onboard 1 x GbE LAN port, also makes it easy for you to transfer large multimedia clips for playback via this mainboard. The regret is that S/PDIF is missing.

The package seems to leave out the brackets for LPT and TV-out. Jetway could have thrown in  a HDMI->DVI converter so that users can still get quality image from display out. The manual is too simple, with no directions on how to configure the HDMI etc.

Overclocking options a plenty for a mATX board. We were able to POST to 295MHz. Stable at 285x10. The CPU just wouldn't want to go beyond the 300Mark even with a low multiplier is used.

Overall, the board has good performance and a nice BIOS. The cons would be the package and chipset being too hot. Perhaps an active cooling would be a better choice.
