Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006

The 4 boards are paired up with a set of ASUS EH2600XT graphics card running with Catalyst 7.9. The graphics performance is tested with single card and dual card in crossFire for both X38 based and P35 based mainboards.

Using a single graphics card, the Jetway I35P-SG is slightly lower at 10007, probably due to the two factors, lower clk speed and lower memory setting at DDR2-800. In CrossFire mode, the X38 chipsets run in full Dual 16X mode while the P35 boards runs in a crippled 4x+16x (thus in Dual 4x). The Jetway IP35-SG scored 14912. The Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 is slightly higher with its DDR3 at DDR3-1066 scoring 15024. The two other X38 boards took advantage of the higher bandwidth and scored around 15380.

A check on 3Dmark06 shows a similar pattern. With a single card, the difference is just a few points. In CrossFire, the differences are quite noticable. The Jetway IP35-SG scored 8010 while the Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 scored 8023. The two X38 boards scored 8300+ which leads the other P35 boards by 300+ points.
