In the HQV test, we test out the graphics card in various aspects of video Noise reduction, Film Cadence etc. A total score of 130 if the card passes all the various tests. Here is a breakdown of the score. From the different tests, we can see that the driver pre catalyst 7.11 driver (8.430) doesn't seem to do well in the 3:2 and horizontal/vertical scroll tests. The driver used did well for the Jaggies though. Picture details are still lacking as image remains blur. 3:2 detection works but the image looks too soft.
HQV HD Test We acquired the HD HQV and tested it. Here is a breakdown of the results. With a score of 55 out of 100, it is slightly better than the two other lower end cards tested. So far, the 3 cards in the test all failed the film resolution test. Noise reduction isn't that good on all cards. New drivers might help. ATI Radeon HD 3870
NVIDIA 8500GT
