Introduction
GIGABYTE

announces a brand new thermal design, fanless Silent-Pipe II™ single-slot
version with All-Solid capacitor design are featured on the GIGABYTE
GV-NX86T256D. Equipped with the GeForce® 8600 GT GPU, the GIGABYTE GV-NX86T256D
also includes the impressive Supreme Commander™ game bundle for hard-core RTS
gamers.
The card combines the best of technology from Gigabyte and NVIDIA, delivering a
noiseless graphics card that outperforms active cooling designs using Silent
Pipe II. On top of that, the bundle comes with the game Supreme Commander™,
awarded Best Strategy Game at E3 2006.
Featuring the latest GeForce® 8600 GT with 256MB GDDR3 memory and DirectX® 10
and Shader Model 4.0 support, the GIGABYTE GV-NX86T256D delivers highly
realistic gaming effects and enables full support for Microsoft® Windows Vista
Premium. Differing from past GPU generations, the NVIDIA GeForce® 8600 GT
features a dedicated “on-chip” video processor for superb picture quality and
ultra smooth video playback. The GV-NX86T256D also features NVIDIA’s latest
advanced technologies including NVIDIA’s GigaThreadTM Technology, Quantum
EffectsTM Technology as well as support for NVIDIA’s LumenexTM engine, which
introduces 16x Anti-aliasing and 128-bit floating point High-Dynamic-Range (HDR)
rendering for the most realistic lighting effects.
The GIGABYTE GV-NX86T256D also supports HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content
Protection) and features support for the latest video output interfaces,
including Dual Dual-Link DVI, ensuring the highest quality, Hi-Def experience
for the latest Blu-ray and HD DVD formats.
GV-NX86T256D comes with the 80nm-based G84 display
core, designed on full floating point Stream Processor units and fully
compatible with DirectX 10.0 and Shader Model 4.0 standards. It has four 1.4ns
GDDR3 display memories with each of 16Mb*32Bit, the display memory specification
is 256MB/128Bit, factory clocked at 600/720.
80nm processor technology is used to
manufacture the 8600GT. It has 32 Stream processors and draw a max power of
8600GT at 43W. The memory width of the 8600GT is 128bits wide. The number of
transistors on 8600GTS and 8600GT is 289 million Shader clk of the 8600GT is
1180MHz.
